Are you ready to kick-start your career in marine safety services? A leading provider in the maritime safety industry is looking for a Junior Service Engineer to join their team in Rotterdam. Whether you're just starting out or have some relevant experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on technical skills, grow professionally, and work in a field that plays a critical role in global shipping and safety.As a Junior Service Engineer, you’ll assist in the inspection, maintenance, and servicing of essential marine safety equipment. From firefighting systems to life-saving gear, you’ll help ensure vessels meet international safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and service Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE) both onboard vessels and at the service station
- Handle and maintain safety equipment, including:
- Portable fire extinguishers
- Fixed fire suppression systems (CO₂, Foam, Water Mist, etc.)
- SCBA & EEBD units
- Life jackets, immersion suits, lifebuoys, fireman outfits
- Medical oxygen resuscitators and cylinders
- Perform refilling and hydrotesting of cylinders
Gevraagd
- A valid driver’s license (required for travel to vessels and service locations)
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- A hands-on attitude and eagerness to learn
- Willingness to travel within the region (e.g., Antwerp, Amsterdam, parts of Germany and northern France)
- Strong team spirit and a proactive mindset
- Full technical training provided by experienced professionals
