Our client are at the forefront of innovation in the medical device industry. They specialize in developing cutting-edge solutions that improve patient outcomes and drive advancements in healthcare. Currently, we are working on a novel needle project that has successfully reached the proof-of-concept stage. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to drive this project from its current stage to commercial readiness.

Role Overview: The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the transition of our novel needle project from proof of concept to a commercially viable product. This includes coordinating preclinical and animal studies, managing product sample production, and ensuring all necessary steps are taken to position the product for sale to large-scale pharmaceutical companies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in life science project management, with a proven track record of bringing medical innovations to market.

What you bring

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the development of the novel needle project through to commercial readiness.
Oversee the production of initial product samples and ensure quality control.
Coordinate and manage preclinical and animal studies to validate product efficacy and safety.
Identify and address regulatory and compliance requirements.
Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure timely delivery.
Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and key opinion leaders to drive project success.
Identify gaps and necessary steps for successful commercialization, ensuring alignment with the expectations of large pharmaceutical companies.
Support business development efforts by providing technical insights and strategic guidance.
Monitor and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience in project management within the medical device industry.
Strong understanding of preclinical studies, including animal studies and regulatory pathways.
Experience in bringing medical devices from proof of concept to market readiness.
Background in working with or selling products to large pharmaceutical companies.
Familiarity with the production of first samples and validation processes.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
