You will work at a large financial institution in the Netherlands. You work within the domain that is responsible for building and delivering IT systems, which are used by the entire company on a global level.
The department where you will be working is responsible for handling their compliances, such as legal obligations, safety and welfare of others. You are responsible for making sure all policies are met, all documentation is complete, and all application are updated correctly. Your task is to ensure compliance and control the Operational Risk.Functieomschrijving
As an Ops Engineer you are involved in the management of live production systems and applications. Your main tasks involve:

Understanding any expected changes after release and take actions;
Providing day to day support for your application and underlying infrastructure;
Configuring and implementing Monitoring Tooling to enable 24x7 monitoring using appropriate Event Alert;
Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues;
Specifying, testing and executing deployment and roll-back scripts;
Specifying, creating, and executing the Performance and Operational Acceptance Tests including High Availability and Disaster Recovery Tests, with the support of the Dev Engineer;
Understanding and monitoring the entire technology stack your Application is running on;
Ensuring your team and your Application fully support Company’s implementation of the Service Transition and Service Operations ITIL processes including Operational Risk Control.

Functie-eisen

You have at least a BSc. Degree;
You have experience working with Operations activities (ITIL);
You have infinity with the implementation of security measures
You have experience within a compliance risk environment (nice to have);
Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL) with the ability to apply it in the context of IT operations;
You know how to work according to Agile/Scrum methodologies;
You have good English communication skills;
You aren’t afraid to ask for information, share your opinion and view, whether it’s asked or not;
You are a team player and want to become a true professional in every way;
