Financial Accountant – Join a Purpose-Driven Team in Amsterdam (32–40 hrs/week)

About the Role

We’re on the lookout for a meticulous and motivated Financial Accountant ready to play a key role in supporting a fast-growing international company. In this role, you'll take full ownership of the financial administration for several business entities. From handling daily transactions to month-end reporting, your work will directly impact the quality and reliability of our financial insights. You’ll work closely with a close-knit, energetic team that manages the finances for entitities spread across multiple European countries.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
Execute various tasks tied to monthly closings and P&L reviews
Serve as a finance point of contact for teams across both stores and HQ
Process bank transactions and assist in weekly payment runs
Handle employee reimbursement declarations
Liaise with vendors, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong working relationships
Contribute to audit preparation and respond to ad-hoc finance requests
Support process improvements and help streamline financial operations

Your Profile

A background in accounting or finance (Bachelor's or Master’s degree preferred)
Professional-level fluency in English, both written and spoken
Problem-solver with a flexible, solutions-first mindset
Analytical and detail-oriented, with a hands-on approach
Experience with ERP systems
Confident using Excel, including advanced formulas
Experience with fixed asset accounting (Pre)
