New Tech BD & Strategy Manager Rotterdam • Eneco

In this position reporting to the Head of the CTO Office, you will have the chance to contribute to our sustainable mission, building a zero-emission future. You will co-lead the development of new digital business models and accelerate the digitalization of Eneco. Your activities include:  

• New Tech business development: Identify and develop new tech business opportunities, conduct feasibility studies, and create investment theses incl. financial model and business case for new tech business models.  

• Go-To-Market: Lead the launch, go-to-market strategies, and scaling of new tech ventures while monitoring performance and adjusting strategies as needed. 

• Funding: Oversee preparation of required materials and mandates in order to ensure funding needs for new tech businesses are anticipated for and met. Liaise with relevant stakeholders across Eneco to make this happen incl. Legal, ventures, business, as required​   

• Stakeholder Management: Interact with different stakeholders up to Board level and the Tech leadership team and ensuring their commitment 

• New Tech business model development 

• Define Go-To-Market and launch of new tech businesses 

• Anticipate funding needs for new businesses and prepare business model / investment case as required 

You are detail-oriented as well as able to work across multiple stakeholder contexts effectively to drive insights and recommendations. You combine an entrepreneurial mindset with strong analytical skills. In this strategic roleyou will also combine focus and flexibility. Furthermore you have: 

• 3+ years in consultancy, investment banking, accounting (@the Big Four) or similar, ideally in combination with significant (5+ years) experience as an operator in a growth/start-up environment  

• Master’s degree in economics/business or computer science/engineering  

• Demonstrated strong record of developing, launching, and pivoting into new business models in either a start up or scale up environment 

• Proven ability to lead initiatives from concept to implementation, ensuring measurable outcome 

• Excellent quantitative modelling skills is a must 

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English 

• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to influence and engage with senior leaders and cross-functional teams 

• Hands-on experience with strategic projects in a complex stakeholder landscape

As part of the CTO Office, you will be exposed to the full portfolio of products and platforms that we build and work with product teams to assess commercialization potential.
