VAT Manager – International Advisory & Compliance

Blauw Cow Consulting is looking for a VAT Manager for this growing company in Amsterdam. Are you up to the challenge?

Location: Amsterdam (Hybrid)
Working Hours: 36–40 hours per week

As VAT Manager at a fast-growing, internationally focused advisory firm, you'll become a key advisor to a diverse client base operating across borders and industries. This is your chance to move beyond routine compliance and into a position where you're truly solving problems, identifying opportunities, and building trusted relationships.
In this role, you’ll provide practical guidance on complex VAT issues and help clients structure transactions in a way that’s both compliant and commercially smart. Whether you're advising on cross-border trade, real estate, or supply chain strategy, you'll be involved at every stage — from analysis to implementation.
We’re looking for someone who’s not only technically strong, but also proactive, communicative, and entrepreneurial in mindset.

Your day-to-day could include:

Advising clients on complex national and international VAT issues
Leading VAT compliance processes and managing audits
Identifying VAT risks and opportunities within client operations
Acting as the main point of contact for clients, tax authorities, and internal teams
Staying on top of VAT legislation and translating changes into actionable client strategies

To succeed in this role, you bring a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, solid experience in VAT advisory and compliance, and the confidence to lead projects independently. Fluency in English is essential; Dutch is a plus.

Several years of experience in VAT compliance, reporting, and advisory
Confidence in managing audits and advising high-value clients
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); Dutch is a plus
