About Nearfield Instruments
Nearfield Instruments (NFI) is a fast-growing scale-up high-tech company. We design, develop, integrate, market and service advanced metrology machines. Our machines enables our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers – to increase the production yields, and thus, functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics.
Founded in 2016, we bring together the most creative minds (approx. 220 employees) in science and technology and develop a one-of-a-kind, revolutionary high throughput Scanning Probe Microscopy system.

Where you will be working?
You work closely together with Strategic SCM, production planning, procurement, project management, and production department.
We currently have two logistics operators whom you will be leading.
What will you be doing?
As a Team Lead Logistics, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of logistics operators to ensure efficient and effective operations. Your role will involve overseeing daily activities, optimizing processes, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Specific tasks and responsibilities include:

• Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of logistics personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment;
• Operational Oversight: Supervise daily logistics operations, including inbound and outbound flows, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods;
• Process Optimization: Analyze current logistics processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet customer expectations;
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, security, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the team;
• Resource Planning: Coordinate with other departments to plan and allocate resources effectively, ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and parts;
• Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency and team performance, implementing corrective actions as needed;
• Customer Relations: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Supplier Relations: Act as a primary point of contact for suppliers, making sure that top level service is provided in the logistics.

What do we expect from you?

You must fit in such a climate and don’t mind constantly implement changes and process improvements, and to go the extra mile on a regular basis and feel comfortable with some uncertainty.
Furthermore, you need to recognize yourself in the profile as described below.

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a team leader role;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues as well as external parties;
• Strong understanding of logistics processes, including shipping, transportation and warehousing;
• Experience working for a manufacturing company, preferably in the high-tech sector such as semiconductor equipment;
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff;
• Proficiency in logistics software and systems;
• Open to work 5 days a week in the office;
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail;
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
