Ready to help build the financial backbone of a fast-growing European data center platform?

Penta Infra is expanding rapidly across Europe through multiple data center acquisitions. Following a major investment by PGGM, the organization is in full transformation—tightening internal controls (AO/IB), professionalizing its financial operations, and working toward a scalable, future-proof finance function.

As Financial Accountant, you’ll join a young, ambitious team that’s growing fast. In this hands-on role, you’ll be closely involved in the daily financial operations, take responsibility for recurring processes, and help bring structure to a dynamic environment. What you’ll do

You manage the day-to-day financial operations for the Holding, as well as the Dutch, Danish, and Belgian entities—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. To do this effectively, you work closely with the Financial Controller, Finance Operations and Business Controllers.

Much of your work is operational and detail-oriented: booking entries, reconciling accounts, supporting the close, and coordinating with local teams. At the same time, you’ll contribute to improving the month-end close, making processes more efficient, and helping to create clarity in procedures and responsibilities.

You’ll also have the opportunity to grow into a more senior accounting or controller role. Along the way, you’ll be supported by experienced colleagues who will help you develop the skills needed to take that next step.

Your responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and reconciling general ledgers for multiple entities;
  
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing entries;
  
• Supporting statutory reporting and coordinating audits;
  
• Maintaining fixed asset and CapEx accounting;
  
• Ensuring VAT and tax compliance with external advisors;
  
• Collaborating with AP, FP&A, and other stakeholders for data accuracy;
  
• Supporting efficiency improvements and internal control enhancements;
  
• Taking initiative in process improvements and finance transformation.

Who are you?

You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You enjoy taking initiative, working independently, and helping build processes from the ground up. You don’t mind if not everything is perfectly organized—you’re here to help create that structure.

You also bring:

• A bachelor’s degree (HBO/MBO+) in finance, accounting, or a related field;
  
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting;
  
• Knowledge of Dutch GAAP;
  
• A structured and analytical working style;
  
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English;
  
• The ability to prioritize, adapt, and deliver in a multi-entity, international context;
  
• Availability for 32–40 hours per week.
