You continuously build knowledge of international trade flows, transport modalities, customs procedures, and cultural differences. This makes you a valuable expert in your field!

A new, extensive account brings a constant stream of hundreds of TEUs per month from Asia to Europe, with destinations such as Romania, Poland, and Slovenia. From the heart of their Rotterdam operation, you are the key to ensuring smooth import handling and dispatching of these shipments throughout Europe (intermodal transport).

As a Transport Coordinator, you manage the post-carriage of container shipments across Europe. You coordinate with internal teams and agents to achieve delivery KPIs throughout Europe. Responsibilities within your scope include:

• You closely monitor freight movements and flexibly adjust schedules to prevent delays.
• You work closely with the documentation and IT departments to ensure a smooth and error-free flow of information.
• You report on key transport KPIs and propose concrete improvements to optimize delivery performance.
• You are responsible for the planning of exclusively Deep Sea Service intermodal transport.
• You participate in daily inbound planning meetings with the customer.
• You organize and participate in weekly meetings with the customer for general updates.
• You monitor the progress of customs processes and other necessary clearances.
• You ensure timely and accurate updates in relevant systems.

In addition to your driven mindset, we hope that you also have a positive attitude. You naturally take responsibility and are definitely up for a joke! You have the ambition to grow in your role. You also have knowledge and experience in:
 

• A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in logistics/transport and/or warehousing within the EU.
• Strong knowledge of EU transport and customs regulations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• You are 100% customer-oriented. Proficiency in logistics software (TMS, WMS); familiarity with control tower solutions is a plus.
• Fluent in English. Additional European languages are an advantage.
