Production Planner Maasdam • SIRE Life Sciences

The Company  
The client is the biggest Dutch dairy distributor and dairy products manufacturer that is active worldwide.   

Role Description
As a Production Planner at a production facility, you will work alongside three other planners to coordinate a wide range of fresh dairy products such as custard, yogurt, and quark. You are the key link between market demand and factory output, making you an essential player within the production process. This is a highly dynamic environment where you serve as the primary point of contact for many internal and external departments. Over time, you will become the knowledge owner of your product portfolio and continuously look for ways to improve efficiency.  

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining an optimized short-term production plan,
• Continuously fine-tuning the plan by balancing demand, inventory levels, production capacity, and operational changes.
• Identifying, addressing, and resolving bottlenecks and improvement opportunities in the planning process.
• Taking ownership of KPIs such as service level, waste, and inventory levels for your portfolio.
• Collaborating closely with various departments within the factory and with the central office to achieve the best possible results.
• Participating in cross-functional projects (e.g. new product launches, process improvement, or IT implementations).
• Driving continuous improvement in planning processes and procedures.
• Participating in on-call duty (approx. 1/3 of the time),
• Initially working fully on-site for onboarding; one remote day per week may be possible later on. 

Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree (HBO level) or equivalent experience, preferably in Supply Chain or Logistics.
• Experience or affinity with production and logistics, preferably in an FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with planning tools (e.g. SAP ECC, SAP APO, OMP) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive, hands-on attitude.
• Comfortable working under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
• Solution-oriented thinker with a focus on opportunities and continuous improvement.
• Customer-focused and committed to operational success.
• Collaborative, enthusiastic, and able to effectively engage with colleagues across different departments and levels.
