Volledige vacaturetekst

Have you led innovation projects in the logistics industry? Are you excited by the idea of applying that experience on a European scale and taking your impact to the next level?

At GXO, we’re currently looking for a Manager of Innovation Deployment to join our European innovation team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you’ll work across key countries including Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Romania. You’ll play a vital part in driving innovation by supporting and implementing strategic projects through the GXO Innovation Gateway process.

The role is preferably based in one of the above countries and would require travelling across the region.

This role is focused on adaptive technology deployment — scalable, flexible tech solutions that can be integrated into existing, manual operations. You'll assess site operations and collaborate closely with both suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify and implement impactful innovation projects across multiple countries.

What are your typical tasks in a role of a Manager of Innovation Deployment
Lead the deployment of adaptive technology across a defined region (Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania)

  •      Monitor ongoing deployments, gather feedback, resolve issues with suppliers, and support performance tracking
  •      Act as the bridge between local logistics operations and technology suppliers, guiding both sides through assessment, planning, and implementation
  •      Work in close collaboration with country innovation leads and the global automation team, ensuring alignment with GXO's Innovation Gateway process and global R&D strategies
  •      Conduct site assessments to determine suitability for technology integration; build business cases focused on ROI and operational effectiveness
  •     Engage with stakeholders across all levels – from site managers to regional BU directors and global innovation leaders – to manage expectations, gather insights, and drive decision-making
  •      Support in delivering the yearly target savings from our technology lever
  •      Support the standardization of adaptive tech approaches across Continental Europe

What You Need to Succeed at GXO

  •     Strong operations background in logistics or supply chain, with the ability to understand the day-to-day challenges of warehouse teams
  •     Solid experience in technology implementation, preferably within logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing environments (ideally within a retail, eCommerce, industrial, consumer or FMCG environment)
  •      Proven stakeholder management skills – balancing conflicting priorities and aligning multiple parties toward shared goals
  •      Familiarity with adaptive technology solutions (e.g. AMRs, wearable tech, digital picking aids) and their impact on productivity
  •      Ability to analyze operational data, calculate ROI, and create compelling business cases for innovation
  •      Comfort navigating complex matrix structures and working across regional and global teams
  •      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – capable of influencing at all levels
