Digital Category Buyer Amsterdam • Dutch Talent

We are looking for a Digital Category Buyer who, with a sharp eye for trends and a talent for commercial negotiations, will further shape the digital assortment strategy. In this role, you ensure that products are optimally visible and stand out on major e-commerce platforms such as Bol and Amazon.

You maintain strong relationships with international suppliers, especially in China, working closely with the local offices. By utilizing market data and tools you identify product opportunities and respond effectively to new trends.

You are responsible for managing the assortment for online channels. You develop and maintain a monthly innovation roadmap focused on product development and assortment updates. Additionally, you collaborate intensively with various departments, including marketing and retail category buyers, to share market insights and capitalize on joint opportunities. Together with the team in China, you oversee the entire product lifecycle, ensuring products continuously grow and excel in the digital marketplace.

• Working hours of 32 to 40 hours per week
• Option to work from home one day per week after the onboarding period

• You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a digital or e-commerce environment
• You have previously led a team and are motivated to take on a leadership role in the near future
• You are a skilled negotiator and know how to get the best out of a deal
• You base your decisions on data and actively analyze market trends, performance, and margins to make well-informed choices
• You are flexible and open to traveling to China twice a year for business meetings and supplier visits
• Good command of the English language, Dutch is a plus
