Are you an experienced Lead Process Engineer with experience in upstream offshore production platforms, ready to lead complex engineering projects? Join our client’s dynamic Process department and take charge of impactful operations in a globally active environment.
Our client provides customized solutions in the field of offshore gas activities. They offer advice from initial feasibility studies to the execution of all engineering and procurement activities! They have a proven track record in offshore platforms, FPSOs, onshore facilities, and complex steel and mechanical installations for maritime applications, and are making significant progress in the offshore hydrogen production market.
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Lead Process Engineer to join their team within the offshore gas production sector. In this role, you will lead the design and development of brownfield process systems for upstream offshore installations, ensuring compliance with international standards and operational excellence. You’ll be part of an integrated engineering team working on multidisciplinary projects ranging from concept design through to commissioning. Your work will involve in leading your team in creating process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, performing simulations, conducting risk assessments such as HAZOPs, and contributing to continuous improvements in safety and efficiency. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the process strategy for new offshore assets, interface with other engineering disciplines, and provide input during project reviews and audits.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of process engineering experience and a minimum of 5 years in leading a team of Process Engineers, with a strong focus on offshore oil & gas or energy projects
- Proven leadership in managing a Process Engineering team within a multidisciplinary Project team
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Expertise in process simulation tools (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus)
- Familiarity with offshore standards such as NORSOK, API, or IEC
- Experience with HAZOPs, SIL classification, and other process safety methodologies
