Project Management Officer (PMO) - Global Digital Team Rotterdam • MediaMarkt

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Project Manager Officer (PMO) to join our newly established digital task force. The PMO will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project management standards, methodologies, and best practices to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget while aligning with the strategic objectives of MediaMarktSaturn. Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Develop and implement project management methodologies, standards, and tools.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Monitor and report on project performance and adherence to standards.
• Assist in the development of project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation.
• Support project managers and teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate project kick-off meetings and regular status updates.
• Establish a communication framework for relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate resource allocation to ensure optimal utilization.
• Identify and resolve resource conflicts and bottlenecks.
• Develop and maintain a risk management framework.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Escalate critical risks and issues to senior management when necessary.
• Track and report on project progress, performance, and outcomes.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
• Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the company.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.

• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.

• Proven experience in a PMO role or project management.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid work environment.

• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

• Experience in digitalization and innovation in retail is a strong plus.
