You will shape and drive your vision across different pillars, including corporate storytelling and ESG, as well as crisis communication in which you will work with local business units across Europe, North America and Australia.

We are looking for an ambitious and successful professional with a strong track record in taking external communications to the next level fulfilling this amazing role as our new:

Group Communications Manager

In this role you will bring extensive experience and expertise in corporate communications to lead and manage a variety of communication initiatives, with a focus on external communication. Some areas will also include strong elements of internal communications in it. One of your focus areas will be communicating our ESG agenda, as this is one of Refresco’s strategic priorities. You are a strategic but pragmatic thinker, who can manage multiple projects at the same time. Think of managing communications for an acquisition we’re doing, while also developing Refresco’s Annual Report.

We are always in a hurry. So, you love to roll up your sleeves and get things done, supporting and advising a wide range of (international) stakeholders. You’ll convert strategies into actionable communication plans and execute the plans by delivering engaging communication across all channels in strong collaboration with your direct colleagues.

You will be part of a small, highly engaged and entrepreneurial Communications team based in Rotterdam, led by our Group Head of Communications. You will the go-to person for the entire external communications function.

As our Communications Manager, you are passionate about your work and driven to shape and elevate your role. You take pride in adding value and enjoy connecting, engaging, and informing your community.

Key responsibilities are:

Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies and plans, including communications related to Refresco’s M&A activities.
Lead the development of engaging, compelling yet realistic communications, both internally and externally, for our groupwide ESG & sustainability strategy.
Oversee, create, and distribute content across various external channels, including press releases, websites, newsletters, and media, in close collaboration with your other colleagues in the team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key (industry) media outlets and journalists to promote positive press coverage; deliver strong external communications in line with our corporate strategy.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders - including senior leadership, business unit leadership, and local communications managers - and ensure their communication needs are met.
Be prepared to respond to and manage crisis situations, working in coordination with the leadership team to protect the company's reputation.
Collaborate with the other team members to maintain and enhance the company's brand image, ensuring consistency in messaging and visual identity.

About you

We are looking for someone who thrives on challenges and brings a strong personal touch to their work, actively engaging in every aspect.We are looking for experienced and ambitious Communications professional following qualifications and attributes:

You have a Bachelor/Master’s degree in Communications or a related field.
At least 7 years of experience in a senior communications role, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies.
Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environments is preferred.
Experience with ESG/sustainability and crisis management is a plus but not mandatory
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
You connect easily to different stakeholders and have a natural interest in people and building strong relationships.
A strong team player, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach to work.
You bring positive energy, and see opportunities, not problems.
