This is a wonderful opportunity to join our forward-thinking Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team, part of Central IT for the European region. Our team is made up of skilled IT specialists, each bringing their own expertise: from Core Applications and Manufacturing Digitalization to Infrastructure, Data Management, Security, and Portfolio & Project Management. We work closely with local IT teams across our European Business Units to drive strategic initiatives and enable data-driven success.

As a Master Data Consultant, you play a pivotal role in shaping and driving our European transformation journey, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA. You bring deep expertise in master data domains such as Business Partners, Materials, and Bills of Material, and translate this knowledge into actionable strategies that enable standardization, harmonization, and long-term scalability across our operations. By advising on data readiness, leading governance initiatives, and supporting critical migration activities, you ensure that high-quality, reliable master data becomes a strong foundation for business decision-making and future growth. Your contributions help embed data excellence into the core of how we operate across Refresco Europe.

Master Data Consultant

To give you a good overview of the role, below the tasks and responsibilities, and the key elements we are looking for in you.

The tasks and responsibilities are:

• Serve as our internal Master Data Consultant in SAP S/4HANA master data, with deep knowledge of Business Partners, Material Master, and Bills of Material.
• Act as a trusted consultant and advisor on European transformation programs, including our ongoing SAP S/4HANA journey, ensuring master data readiness based on a to be defined European Template.
• Define, document, and maintain data definitions, business rules, and governance standards to drive standardization and harmonization across the organization.
• Identify and implement opportunities to enhance master data structures, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Finance, Procurement, Business Process Owners, and IT.
• Provide expert guidance and support for data migration projects, applying best practices through our Syniti Knowledge Platform (ADM/M) and the SAP Data Migration Cockpit.
• Provide expert guidance and support to the roll-out of our MDM governance platform (Syniti), enabling consistent and controlled master data management across Refresco Europe.
• Champion data governance initiatives to harmonize and optimize master data quality, processes, and ownership at a European scale.
• Explore the use of generative AI to further elevate master data capabilities through intelligent automation and insight-driven innovation.

About you:

• Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA master data domains with a strong track record in transformation or implementation projects.
• In-depth knowledge of MDM governance tools (preferably Syniti), data migration methodologies, and enterprise data standards.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with the ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Experience working in or with large, cross-functional and multicultural teams across Finance, Procurement, and IT.
• A forward-thinking mindset with curiosity about the evolving role of AI in master data management.
