The client is a technology-driven company specializing in innovative upstream oil and gas solutions. With a strong focus on well intervention, the company is recognized for its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and reducing environmental impact. Their expertise spans offshore structures, mobile systems, drivetrains, downhole tools with advanced materials, precision instruments, electronics, and control systems.

We are searching for A Senior Mechanical Engineer to take a leading role in the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components for advanced energy technologies. This role involves full lifecycle engineering—from concept development to prototyping and final implementation—ensuring high technical standards and client satisfaction.

In addition to technical responsibilities, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will mentor junior engineers, supporting their development and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead complex mechanical design and development projects.
• Create and review technical drawings, 3D models, and detailed documentation.
• Perform engineering analyses and calculations to validate designs.
• Supervise and participate in prototype testing and evaluations.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams.
• Identify and implement improvements in design, materials, and cost efficiency.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers, contributing to team knowledge-sharing and capability building.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in energy, oil & gas, or high-tech sectors.
• Strong command of CAD software (e.g., Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience in technical analysis and simulation.
• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques, material selection, and product testing.
• Strong communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus), with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with strong ownership and attention to detail
