Role Purpose
As a Grid Topology Modeler, your primary responsibility is modeling Stedin's electrical grid into a central data product, becoming the definitive reference for grid topology used across the organization. This requires effectively balancing detail with simplification and abstraction to ensure usability, especially for capacity management and smart grid initiatives. More precisely, the goal is to provide a comprehensive topology data product that enables Stedin to effectively assess and visualize who is connected to what within the grid. This involves accurately tracing connections both upstream and downstream,
thereby facilitating efficient grid management and ensuring reliable service delivery. By creating and maintaining this detailed dataset, you will support various operational and strategic initiatives, ultimately contributing to the optimization and resilience of the electrical grid infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Grid Prototyping and Modeling

Focus on the initial phases of prototyping and modeling the electrical grid topology within a central data product.
Streamline fragmented and inconsistent data sources by implementing a unified data product in line with the Stedin Logical Data Model.

Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

Organize and facilitate workshops to define and standardize missing asset definitions.
Democratize grid knowledge through workshops, engaging technical and non-technical teams.
Work closely with departments requiring topology information to enhance data-driven operations.

Analytical Insights and Optimization

Enable accurate digital calculation of grid capacity for customer energy requests.
Support optimal utilization of existing grid infrastructure through data-driven analysis, informing strategic investment decisions.

Compliance and Safety Assurance

Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements regarding touch safetythrough meticulous assessments and recommendations.

Goede beheersing van de Nederlandse taal in woord en geschrift is vereist voor deze functie.

Functie eisen

Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Databricks, PowerBI, and ArcGIS.
Experience with data manipulation, data modeling, and abstraction techniques.
Some experience or familiarity with data architecture.
Strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and proactive problem-solving ability.
Project management skills, including workshop organization.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities, capable of building bridges acrossdiverse teams.
Background or strong interest in electrical grid or energy sector.
Academic background (WO level) in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Science, IT, Engineering, Technical Business Administration, or related fields.
