Currently, they are looking for an experienced Piping Superintendent to join their team in Rotterdam.

Job Profile for Piping Superintendent
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Supervise the execution of the full piping scope: supports, painting, testing, and insulation across designated site areas in line with schedule, cost, and project KPIs
• Oversee all aspects of pipework pre-fabrication, including:
• Weld quality, material and cast number control and transfer
• Cleaning, painting, packaging, and preservation
• Documentation, certification, and clear identification of spools
• Ensure correct installation of piping, supports, valves, and in-line equipment per isometrics, P&IDs, and support drawings
• Supervise cleanliness and purging procedures where required (e.g., dry air purges)
• Monitor quality and application of paint systems, insulation, and vapour barriers, especially on cryogenic lines
• Coordinate testing activities using the correct medium per the line list, and enforce safety zones during pneumatic testing
• Work closely with QA/QC to maintain weld quality standards and documentation integrity
• Review RAMS and issue daily Permits to Work in accordance with company procedures
• Identify and track punch list items, ensuring completion of mandatory items before commissioning
• Ensure safe execution of all supervised works, lead sub-contractor teams on-site
• Promote safety, security, and quality standards in line with project procedures and expectations
• Collaborate effectively with other supervision teams and subcontractors to ensure alignment between trades and work fronts
• Address constructability concerns proactively and suggest improved erection methods
• Monitor and report weekly progress, support time capture for reimbursable supervision staff
• Participate in the Basic Safety Process and meet the quota required by the project

Candidate Profile for Piping Superintendent

• Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 10+ years of site-based construction experience in industrial gases, Oil and Gas, or related sectors
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
• Proven knowledge of piping codes, especially ASME B31.3
• Strong practical understanding of piping erection, pre-fab, testing, insulation, painting, and QC processes
• Experience with Bill of Quantity (BOQ) contracts and client-side supervision (preferred)
• Familiarity with relevant standards, specifications, and permit systems
• Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills
• Effective under pressure, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Experience working within multicultural project teams
