Join an innovative SaaS Silicon-Valley company that is revolutionising how large and renowned organisations leverage data. We are looking for a passionate Senior Data Engineer to join a dynamic data engineering team that is dedicated to building cutting-edge platforms.
In this position, you’ll be involved in end-to-end software development that delivers real value to customers. You will be creating scalable solutions and maintaining data interfaces across various products.
Your responsibilities will include implementing ETL/ELT processes using Python, Spark, and SQL to create scalable solutions for various products and large clients. You will enhance the data interface for customer interactions and ensure the Data Platform operates smoothly through DevOps practices. Additionally, you’ll maintain data architectures like Databricks and Kafka, and work closely with Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Product Management to build reliable and secure systems.

- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science/Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with the Big Data ecosystem (Spark, Hive/Impala, HBase, Yarn) and the data lake paradigm
- Familiarity with cloud stacks (AWS/Azure/GCP) and programming languages (Java/Scala/Python).
- Experience with micro services and data streaming systems like Kafka
- Strong database engineering skills focused on architecture, automation, and monitoring.
- Ability to conceptualize data as a graph, with knowledge of Avro, Protobuf, or JSON schema.
- Experience in cross-functional team environments
- Fluent in English; German skills are a plus.
- Experience in retail application development is a bonus.
