DOT IN BV is immediately looking for five independent cooks (M/F) - Level 4.
Our company,
Dot In BV, is an Indian specialty takeaway and delivery center located in the heart of Amsterdam.
Job description and duties:
  • Self-employed cook for preparing Indian dishes
  • Location: 1013MM AMSTERDAM
  • Full-time job / 38 hours per week
  • Salary indication: €2750 gross per month excluding holiday pay. (Negotiable)
  • Hospitality collective labor agreement compliant employment conditions
  • Performing preparatory work, such as washing, cutting, (pre)cooking, mixing, stirring, etc.;
  • Assessing the quality of products/ingredients to be used (freshness, shelf life, etc.), preparing resources;
  • Carrying out the preparations, monitoring/checking the quality, doneness, taste, color, fluidity, etc. and making adjustments/additional dosages;
  • Preparing orders for passing on by carrying out à la minute cooking, portioning and garnishing;
  • Supervise the work of the assistant(s), give directions and instructions;
  • To ensure compliance with safety, occupational health and safety regulations, HACCP regulations, and work and presentation methods (huiss7jl).

    Knowledge and meaningful skills
    • MBO level 3 work and thinking level;
    • Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques;
    • Competencies:
      • Quality oriented:

        o Remains calm/quiet under difficult circumstances or high work pressure; o Recovers quickly after setbacks or disappointments; o Continues to work goal-oriented even under pressure.
      • Hygiene is a top priority

      • Flexible morning, afternoon and/or evening shifts in consultation
