Are you passionate about shaping the future of offshore energy? Our client is seeking a skilled Cable Design Manager to lead subsea cable design activities within pioneering offshore wind and power projects.
Our client is a global leader in marine engineering and offshore energy solutions, known for delivering large-scale infrastructure and renewable projects across the globe. As a Cable Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of complex subsea cable projects, from initial design to final installation.
In this position, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all technical design aspects of submarine power cables, including concept development, detailed engineering, route planning, and design validation. You’ll coordinate with internal engineering teams, project managers, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure technical integrity, safety compliance, and cost-effective delivery.
This is an ideal role for an experienced engineer who thrives in multidisciplinary environments and enjoys a balance between high-level planning and hands-on problem solving. - Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or similar)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in subsea cable engineering or offshore EPC projects
- Strong technical knowledge of offshore cable systems, routing, and installation techniques
- Proven ability to manage technical interfaces and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC, DNV, and Cigre
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); other languages are an asset
- Willingness to travel and participate in international project assignments
