As a Burner / Transport Worker at Sif, you help prepare steel parts for offshore wind turbines. Most of your time (80%) you will burn: removing welding residues and smoothing out rough edges. You will also support transport tasks on the production floor (20%).
Your tasks:
Burning (80%):

• Remove welding residues and burrs using an oxy-fuel burner
• Work on both large steel tubes and smaller parts ('blocks')

Transport Support (20%)

• Move parts using hoisting tools and international transport
• Support logistics in the production hall
• Work according to technical drawings and safety rules
• Prepare parts for the next step in production.

No experience yet? No problem. At our Sif Academy, you’ll learn the basics of the trade within 6 weeks. After that, you can grow, obtain certifications, and continue to develop within our organization.

You will work in three shifts:

• Morning: 06:00 to 14:00
• Afternoon: 14:00 to 22:00
• Night: 22:00 to 06:00

You get 25 vacation days per year and an extra week off at Christmas. It’s normal to go back home every 2 to 3 months for a short visit (in agreement with your manager).

• You speak English at B1 / B2 level
• You have a VCA Basic certificate (or are willing to get one via HOBIJ)
• You have a category B driving license
• You are ready to take an online game-based assessment
• You are interested in metalwork, burning or transport tasks
• You enjoy teamwork and have an eye for detail
• You enjoy physical work and working with your hands
• You are willing to work in 3 shifts
• A technical education or valid welding certificate is a plus
• A platform lift certificate or hoisting license is a plus, or willingness to obtain one

A good salary - paid weekly on Friday - between €15.63 and €17.99 gross per hour, based on experience.
