We have a temporary opportunity for an experienced Communication Specialist to join our team for 6 months, covering a maternity leave, starting mid-September. We’re looking for a proactive and creative professional, passionate about engaging employees and shaping public perception to support our mission at the forefront of aerospace technology.

Tasks & responsibilities of temporary communication specialist
As our temporary Communication Specialist, taking on a diverse portfolio of communication initiatives. You will need to be a flexible and skilled communicator, adept at handling both strategic projects and ad-hoc requests.

Key projects on the horizon:
Launch new Aurora production line, involving 2 launch events from concept to execution, creating compelling content, and coordinating with stakeholders and media.
Integrating Airbus Netherlands website into the main airbus domain.
Social Media: keeping the local social media calendar, crafting content for leadership and corporate/ divisional socials, coordinating content with internal & external stakeholders.
Coordination of our presence at the NEDS 2025 defense and security exhibition.
Leverage our partnership with the Amsterdam Space Symposium 2026.
Support organizational change; define and execute communication plans for an internal change programme.

Profile of the candidate:
Excellent oral and written communications skills, including superior copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
Highly motivated, persuasive, priority-driven and collaborative.
A strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with external and internal partners, and staff across all departments, at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to think analytically and develop solutions that meet the needs of the organisation and/or target group.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently deliver high quality results on-time and on-budget.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements:
A BSc. or MSc. degree in Communication, Communication Sciences, Journalism or a similar study
3+ years of professional experience in the field of (internal) communication
Native Dutch and fluent in English (verbally and written)
Highly proficient with Google suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
