As a Primary Engineer within our Grid Integration team, you are the driving force behind the electromechanical design of high-voltage systems that make the Dutch electricity grid stronger and more stable. You excel at turning technical challenges into smart, innovative solutions, working closely with customers, colleagues, and external partners. Your sharp eye ensures that every project is not only technically sound but also delivered on time and within budget. The company is active in the high-voltage sector. They sell high-voltage products, build transformers/substations, are involved in grid automation, and work on grid integration. The projects they execute typically last about 1 to 2 years, during which they also collaborate with subcontractors specialized in high voltage (HV). However, they maintain overall control themselves. They work extensively at the national level with TenneT and other grid operators. Especially with regard to the energy transition, this is an interesting client for anyone interested in grid management, electricity, energy technology, and renewable energy.
- You are the specialist who designs electromechanical high-voltage installations and grid stabilization systems, both outdoor and using advanced GIS technology
- Using Revit, you independently build smart 3D systems, always precise and fully compliant with regulations, customer requirements, and local standards
- You take every technical detail into account from lightning protection and short-circuit forces to grounding and smart cable routing
- Nothing escapes your attention. You create designs that are not only technically sound but also align perfectly with customer wishes, budgets, and applicable standards. From the initial quotation through to execution, you keep the big picture in mind and accurately assess risks, costs, and deadlines
- You are the connecting link between different disciplines and suppliers, ensuring clear agreements and keeping everything meticulously on track.
- You have a degree in electrical engineering or a related field, with at least 4 years of experience in the industry
- You are fluent in both Dutch and English, in speaking and writing
- Communication? That’s your strong suit, whether it’s with customers, suppliers, or colleagues. You have experience working in international project teams and contribute effortlessly
- You work independently and take initiative without hesitation. You have experience with primary design of high-voltage switchgear systems and feel at home in that field
- Knowledge of high-voltage technology, technical mechanics, and electrotechnical processes is in your DNA. Additionally, you are proficient with MS Office, Outlook, Revit, and AutoCAD, and you’re open to new ways of working, such as BIM
