Financial Strategy & Analysis Manager

About the opportunity:

We're searching for a talented and ambitious professional to manage our Business Analysis team. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-looking team within the Finance department of our Business Unit Netherlands, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of the company. This includes exciting New Energy projects, as well as both green- and brownfield initiatives within our existing business models. You'll work closely with Business Development, Commercial, and other departments to evaluate and drive growth initiatives, including acquisitions, expansions, and long-term strategic projects. This role isn't just about crunching numbers; it's about being a creative, critical thinker who can challenge assumptions and find innovative solutions. In this role you will report directly to Senior Vice President Finance and Procurement of Business Unit Netherlands

What do we offer you?

• A gross annual salary between €95.000 and €130.000 based on knowledge and experience.

What do we expect from you as a Financial Strategy and Analysis Manager

• Master’s degree in finance, Business Administration or a related subject.

• A minimum of 7+ years of experience in business analysis or a related financial role. Experience with M&A, FP&A, business development, or a consultancy background is highly desirable.

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills are a must. A deep understanding of financial KPIs, risk-reward balances, and creative problem-solving is essential.

• While experience in the terminals or financial industry is a plus, it's not a must. We value your financial skills, creativity and adaptability more than deep industry knowledge.

• Excellent stakeholder management on various levels with the ability to work with diverse teams.

• A valid EU work permit, allowing you to work in the Netherlands, is required for this position.

Your core responsibilities are:

• Managing Strategic Financial Development: Drive the financial development of business cases, including sophisticated financial modeling and M&A valuations.

• Challenge Assumptions & Optimize: Challenge key assumptions to ensure robust business cases and collaborate with global departments (like treasury and tax) to optimize financing and tax structures.

• Mentor & Leading a Team: Oversee and mentor a small team of talented business analysts, fostering a result-driven culture of continuous improvement.

• Be a Financial Focal Point: Serve as a key financial contact for investment proposals, actively engaging with Business Development, Commercial, and other internal and external stakeholders.

• Drive Data & Reporting: Lead data analysis and develop insightful reports to support critical decision-making.

• Solve Complex Problems: Address challenging and interesting questions from senior leadership, leveraging your financial expertise to provide strategic recommendations.

• Ensure Quality & Compliance: Oversee the quality of investment proposals and ensure compliance with Vopak policies.
