We are seeking a Microbiology Analyst to support the microbiological testing operations of water sample analysis and quality control in a full-time (32–40 hrs/week) position. Based onsite in the Netherlands, you’ll play a key role in ensuring ISO/IEC-17025 compliance and delivering reliable microbiological data while contributing to process efficiency and operational excellence.

This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a laboratory background who enjoys hands-on microbiological methods and working in a collaborative, quality-focused environment.

Essential Requirements:

A completed laboratory education at MBO or HBO-level
Experience working under ISO/IEC 17025 based quality systems
Familiarity with microbiological techniques such as membrane filtration, pour plate, spread plate, and MALDI TOF confirmation methods
Ability to participate in weekend and evening shifts
Analytical mindset and attention to detail
Strong teamwork capability coupled with the ability to organise individual tasks
Good social and communication skills

Desirable Requirements:

Previous experience in microbiological water testing environments
Hands-on sample volume management and analysis scheduling
Knowledge of water quality standards and methods related to drinking water and industry
Service-oriented mindset and willingness to support cross-functional lab teams
