In this role as a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will take the lead in shaping and refining production processes for complex naval constructions. Your efforts will have a significant impact on improving production output, reducing costs, and elevating product quality. Working in close collaboration with both Engineering and Operations departments, you will focus on boosting the manufacturability of technical designs. Additionally, your knowledge of process optimization will support ongoing improvement projects across the production environment.Key Responsibilities:• In this position, you will be responsible for designing, enhancing, and refining manufacturing processes for complex maritime systems and shipbuilding activities.• You will focus on boosting efficiency, cutting operational costs, and improving the quality standards of manufactured components.• By working closely with both Engineering and Operations teams, you will help create a seamless and effective production process from the design phase to final assembly.• A key part of the role involves identifying risks within manufacturing processes early and implementing solutions that safeguard production timelines and product integrity.• You will take initiative in spotting bottlenecks and quality deviations, applying Lean or Six Sigma techniques to deliver measurable, continuous improvements.• Additionally, you will document all established processes and best practices with precision, ensuring critical knowledge is retained and fostering a culture of process excellence throughout the organization.Functie-eisen
• Practical experience in developing and refining complex production processes, ideally gained in shipbuilding, heavy industry, or a similar technical sector, with proven, measurable results.• Strong working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma tools, with the ability to translate these methodologies into practical improvements on the production floor.• Solid interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments such as Operations and Engineering, ensuring alignment throughout the production chain.• Demonstrated competence in identifying potential production risks and implementing proactive solutions, as well as maintaining thorough documentation and process compliance.• A relevant technical degree, such as Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, along with fluency in English.• Strong professional references are required; this role is subject to mandatory security clearance.• Only candidates holding permanent EU citizenship and an EU passport will be considered, due to strict regulations tied to the defence-related nature of these projects.
