What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Data Analytics Lead to lead one of our Analytics teams within the Tech organization at Eneco. In this role you’ll be both a people manager and a senior contributor—spending around 50% of your time coaching your team and 50% directly contributing to high-impact projects.

You’ll lead a team of Data Analysts embedded in various Value Chains, helping them thrive while ensuring delivery of valuable and actionable insights. You’ll also work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to shape strategy and steer execution across the energy transition themes—decarbonization, sustainable generation, and system optimization.

As part of the leadership within the Analytics community of practice, you’ll help define its roadmap, support hiring efforts, and foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and craftsmanship.

You’ll be responsible for

Leading, coaching and mentoring a team of Data Analysts working across multiple digital product teams

  • Managing HR processes for the team (performance, development, salary review, promotions) and ensuring a strong team culture
  • Contributing hands-on to high-impact analytics initiatives within the product teams your team supports
  • Collaborating with Product Managers and other Data Leaders to align on goals, ensure delivery, and drive technical and non-technical growth across the team
  • Guiding your stakeholders in problem definition, prioritization and success measurement, such as OKRs and KPIs
  • Designing, conducting and evaluating A/B tests to help the business make data driven decisions and encouraging the use of experimentation throughout the organization
  • Occasional hands-on data work, such as building pipelines to transform raw data into business logic, exploratory data analysis, creating reports and dashboards, and building statistical models
  • Communicating findings in an easy-to-understand way using storytelling and data visualization to help business stakeholders make better decisions

Is this about you?

You’re passionate about helping product teams create measurable business value through data. You get energy from translating complex data into clear, actionable insights—and you always keep the business impact front and center.

You’re a storyteller at heart. Whether it’s a dashboard, a presentation, or a conversation with a stakeholder, you focus on the “why” and the “so what,” not just the technical details.

While you're fully capable of diving deep into an analytical problem, you understand that your biggest impact comes from enabling others. You empower your team to deliver excellent work, while you steer strategic conversations, shape KPIs, and ensure alignment with broader goals.

You strike a balance between being hands-on and being a multiplier—someone who leads with clarity, supports with empathy, and drives with purpose.

Additionally, you have:

  • Senior or Principal-level experience as a Data Analyst, with deep hands-on skills in analytics
  • Experience in SQL, DBT and Python for analytical purposes, preferably in a cloud environment such as Databricks and Snowflake
  • Experience in data visualization and dashboarding, preferably in Power BI
  • Proven track record of managing a team of 4+ Data Analysts or other technical professionals
  • Experience mentoring analysts of varying levels, supporting both their technical skills and career development
  • Strong ability to translate data into business value, with excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Passion for developing people, creating clarity in complexity, and accelerating the energy transition through data

This is where you’ll work

You’ll be part of the broader Data team within Eneco’s Tech organization—a vibrant group of experts in analytics, data science, data engineering, and machine learning. You’ll lead one of the Analytics teams and report to the Senior Manager Data Science and Analytics.

We’re a collaborative and curious bunch, always looking to grow together. Whether it's through weekly Data & Technology Lunches or monthly Tech all-hands, we actively share our work, challenges, and the latest developments in our field.

Your team will be embedded in two or three Value Streams—such as Customer Experience, Finance, or Asset Operations—where they’ll work closely with product teams. You’ll spend most of your time partnering with (Group) Product Managers to define OKRs, align on priorities, and make sure your team is delivering impact. When needed, you’ll deep-dive into one of the Value Streams alongside your analysts.

At Eneco, we believe in the power of cross-functional collaboration and in supporting each other to thrive—not just as data professionals, but as people.
