What you’ll do

At Eneco, our One Planet strategy drives us to be climate neutral by 2035. Batteries are a cornerstone of this transition, balancing supply and demand in real time and unlocking flexibility across the grid.
As Battery Product Manager, you’ll lead the standardization and scaling of battery onboarding across Eneco’s technical and IT landscape. Your mission is simple but ambitious: make sure every new battery asset is seamlessly onboarded — starting from a single CRM entry and automatically integrating into all relevant planning, forecasting, and steering applications.
You’ll define and coordinate the integration strategy, develop an API-first approach, and ensure Eneco’s growing battery portfolio is scalable, maintainable, and future-proof.

You’ll be responsible for
  • Owning the end-to-end onboarding process for new battery assets into Eneco’s Trade Ops & IT stack.

  • Defining and driving an API-first integration strategy across trade, planning, and forecasting applications.

  • Developing and maintaining a developer/API portal for third-party integrations (OEMs, VPP steering, DSO/TSO data).

  • Coordinating across Trading, Tech, and Ops&IT teams to align architecture and integration flows.

  • Analyzing and improving onboarding processes and technical flows to enable scale.

  • Ensuring financial and operational data flows are robust and automated.

  • Challenging existing architecture and proposing improvements where needed.

Is this about you?

You’re a product manager who thrives at the intersection of technology, energy, and systems integration. You know how to translate business ambition into scalable technical solutions and are energized by solving complex onboarding and integration challenges.

  • Proven experience in product management within energy tech, SaaS, or system integration.

  • Strong understanding of APIs, developer platforms, and integration strategies.

  • Technical depth: able to read API specs, understand telemetry formats, and challenge architecture decisions.

  • Experience coordinating across cross-functional teams (Trading, Tech, Ops&IT).

  • Fluency in English and residence in the Netherlands.

Bonus points for

  • Experience with battery OEMs or VPP platforms.

  • Familiarity with energy markets (FCR, aFRR, imbalance).

  • Understanding of DSO/TSO data flows and international integration challenges.

This is where you’ll work

You’ll join Eneco’s Trade Ops & IT product team, collaborating with developers, architects, and stakeholders to shape the future of battery integration and energy optimization. Together, you’ll make Eneco’s growing flexibility portfolio a key driver of the energy transition.
