As a Health & Safety Professional at Lely, you play a key role in creating and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. You ensure that safety and health are structurally embedded in policy, behavior, and decision-making throughout the organization. You bring policies to life, raise awareness, and help teams make safety part of their daily routines.

You are part of a small, energetic, and enthusiastic team and work closely with colleagues from various departments and at different levels within the organization—from the shop floor to management. With your expertise and persuasive power, you contribute to further professionalizing our safety organization and stimulate the growth of our safety culture. You use tools such as the Safety Culture Ladder and the Quentic Safety Tool to drive lasting progress.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Advising and supporting operational teams and supervisors on safety issues and the application of safety principles.
• Actively contributing to the implementation of the Health & Safety policy and ensuring compliance through inspections, observations, and audits.
• Leading incident investigations and root cause analyses, and ensuring effective corrective actions.
• Coordinating and promoting the Safety Ambassador Community.
• Facilitating workshops, toolbox sessions, and training programs to raise awareness and engagement around safety.
• Managing and utilizing the Quentic Safety Tool for reporting, follow-up, and documentation of incidents.
• Developing and delivering practical training and onboarding programs that support employees in working safely.
• Conducting risk assessments and evaluations.
• Preparing monthly/quarterly Health & Safety reports.

You are an energetic and committed professional who knows how to translate health and safety into practice with conviction. You thrive in a dynamic, technical environment and know how to engage colleagues at all levels in a culture of continuous improvement.

In addition, you bring:

• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational hygiene, safety science, or a comparable field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Health & Safety role.
• Solid knowledge of relevant laws and regulations and (inter)national standards.
• Experience with risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
• Strong communication and advisory skills in both Dutch and English.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to build support and drive change.
• Experience in a production, logistics, agricultural, or industrial environment, and familiarity with ISO 45001 is a plus.
