What will you do?
In this role, you will be responsible for selecting, testing, and integrating standard IT components—such as NAS systems, SSDs, thin clients, network displays, routers, and switches—into the architecture of industrial machines. You’ll conduct tests in a lab environment to verify that components meet the required specifications.
Next, you’ll collaborate with suppliers to integrate these components into PCBs or cabinets. Once integrated, you’ll test the systems within the actual machine using measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, probes, and multimeters. Finally, you’ll document everything according to our customer’s procedures to ensure compliance with established standards.
What do you bring?
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has minimum BSc degree or MSc degree;
- Has experience designing, implementing, and integrating computer hardware or electrical designs in an industrial machine development environment;
- Is familiar with tools and processes regarding change management practices;
- Has experience working in Agile environments: planning in Program Increments (3 months) and working in sprints (2 weeks);
- Has knowledge of IT systems such as thin clients, NAS, servers, routers, and switches—this can also come from personal interest or hobby;
- Has experience with testing hardware components in a lab setting;
- Is familiar with integrating off-the-shelf components into a technical architecture;
- Is skilled in using measurement equipment and performing hardware tests within machines.
What kind of person fits this role?
- You are a strong communicator (in English!) and enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders—from service and procurement to suppliers and internal colleagues;
- You can handle busy environments and parallel projects, and know how to manage your time efficiently;
- You are proactive, speak up when things aren’t going well, and contribute ideas for improvement—both when asked and on your own initiative;
- You have an eye for quality and documentation, and understand that your work directly impacts machines deployed worldwide.
