Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support engineering and project delivery teams by embedding robust cybersecurity practices into industrial environments. This role focuses on safeguarding Industrial Control Systems (ICS), instrumentation packages, and vendor-supplied equipment used in sectors like energy, chemical processing, and manufacturing.

You’ll work closely with package and instrumentation engineers to evaluate system architectures, implement secure access controls, and ensure third-party systems meet cybersecurity standards before integration. From network segmentation to protocol hardening, you’ll help ensure safe and compliant operation throughout project delivery.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in technical environments where uptime, safety, and resilience are critical.

What do you need

Experience securing Industrial Control Systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS) and instrumentation packages in engineering or plant environments.
Skilled in setting up firewalls, access controls, and DMZs between IT and OT systems.
Practical experience performing security risk assessments on packaged equipment and control networks.
Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, or similar industrial cybersecurity frameworks.
Proficient with tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, or Snort; basic use of Kali Linux is a plus.
Able to evaluate vendor-supplied equipment for cybersecurity readiness and recommend mitigations.
