Job Title: Strategic Supply Chain Planner EMEA 

Location: Zaandam, Amsterdam area (Occasional travel required)

Job Summary: Strategic Supply Chain Planner EMEA, will be a pivotal force in orchestrating the end-to-end supply chain within the EMEA region. This role demands a proactive and analytical professional capable of optimizing complex supply chain processes from sourcing to delivery, with a keen focus on maximizing profitability and ensuring high service levels. A critical aspect of this role involves expert stakeholder management, fostering robust relationships across internal functions and with external partners to align objectives and drive seamless execution. You will leverage advanced planning systems and data analytics to transform insights into strategic actions, contributing significantly to Bunge's operational excellence and competitive advantage. Finally, this function will play a major role in the start-up of our new facility at the Port of Amsterdam where we are building a state-of-the-art factory. We will set up a complete new supply chain and the Strategic Supply Chain Planner will be one of the architects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Supply Chain Orchestration:
    • Lead the planning and optimization of the full supply chain lifecycle, including inventory management, production planning, material requirement planning for the EMEA region.
    • Ensure optimal product availability to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and maintaining high service levels.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with Bunge's overall business goals and drive operational excellence.
    • Monitor and adjust inventory levels and supply plans proactively based on sales, market trends, and supply chain performance data.
  • Profitability Optimization:
    • Identify and implement strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall profitability across procurement, production, storage, and distribution.
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of supply chain data to pinpoint inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for cost savings and value creation.
    • Utilize financial acumen to evaluate supply chain scenarios, recommending the most profitable and executable solutions to leadership.
    • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, efficiency, and service levels, driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with a diverse range of internal stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Production, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and IT teams.
    • Act as a central point of contact for supply chain planning, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives across functions.
    • Influence decision-making processes by presenting data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to achieve integrated supply chain goals.Systems & Data Management:
    • Leverage and optimize advanced supply chain planning systems (e.g., Infor, Jedox) to enhance inventory optimization and overall planning capabilities.
    • Utilize data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
    • Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of new supply chain technologies and processes.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within planning systems, managing master data parameters for effective inventory control and planning.
  • Systems & Data Management:
    • Leverage and optimize advanced supply chain planning systems (e.g., Infor, Jedox) to enhance inventory optimization and overall planning capabilities.
    • Utilize data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
    • Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of new supply chain technologies and processes.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within planning systems, managing master data parameters for effective inventory control and planning.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a supply chain role within a complex, multinational environment, preferably within agribusiness, petrochemical, pharma or FMCG.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end supply chain planning, including demand, supply, and inventory planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive profitability optimization through supply chain initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA) and advanced analytical tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional EMEA languages are a significant asset.
