Our client, a trusted provider of critical energy solutions, is seeking a Proposal Engineer who combines technical expertise with commercial awareness. In this role, you’ll develop precise and compelling proposals that play a key role in delivering backup power solutions when reliability matters most. You will be responsible for translating customer needs into technically sound and commercially viable proposals. From technical specifications and visual representations to cost estimates and timelines, you ensure every proposal is accurate and aligned with customer expectations. Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with internal teams, including sales, engineering, procurement, and project management, to ensure all proposals are feasible and cost-effective. You’ll also maintain strong relationships with suppliers, both domestic and international, and support the continuous improvement of proposal templates and internal processes. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to energy security by delivering well-structured proposals that drive real-world impact in critical environments.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Preferably several years of experience in a similar role within the backup power, energy, or related sectors.
Solid foundational knowledge of systems such as generators and engines.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve technical challenges.
Experience in a project-based environment.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar software.
Commercial mindset with the ability to work closely with account managers to provide tailored solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
Availability of at least 32 hours per week (full-time preferred).
