Do you have a strong mechanical background and proven experience in piping stress analysis? Our client is looking for a skilled Pipe Stress Engineer to contribute to complex engineering projects and ensure the integrity and reliability of piping systems.

Company information

As a Pipe Stress Engineer, you will play a key role in analyzing and designing piping systems for a wide range of multidisciplinary projects. You’ll be responsible for conducting detailed stress calculations, ensuring that all designs meet mechanical and safety requirements, and comply with applicable codes and standards.

Vacancy information

Working closely with piping designers, engineers, and project teams, you'll ensure that stress analysis is integrated into the overall engineering process. Your insights will support safe and efficient design solutions, covering everything from layout constraints and material selection to thermal expansion, dynamic loads, and support design.

You will use CAESAR II and other industry tools to perform complex calculations, evaluate loads, and provide recommendations to prevent overstressing or failure of piping systems. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in reviewing design packages, supporting risk assessments, and participating in design reviews.

This position is ideal for someone who combines deep mechanical knowledge with practical design experience and wants to make a real impact in high-stakes engineering environments.

What do you need
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
  • Proven experience in piping stress analysis using CAESAR II
  • Solid understanding of piping design principles and standards (e.g., ASME, EN, and other applicable codes)
  • Practical experience in layout, support design, and dynamic load evaluation
  • Familiarity with E3D, Autodesk Plant 3D, and AutoCAD
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude
