About the team
The Naval Industry team is responsible and accountable for the on-time production and delivery of the Thales Naval products within in cost and first-time right. To realize this the Naval Industry team is strongly and closely cooperating with the other departments (e.g. Engineering, Procurement, Product Segments) within Thales Naval.

As Thales Naval we foster a strong growth in demand to our products and to secure this growth the industry organization needs to increase their focus on Safety, First Time Right and proper administration of the Configurations.   

For that reason, we are looking for a Manager Industry Quality & HSE

About your future job
As Manager Industry Quality and HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) you will lead a team of Quality Controllers (QC), Configuration Controllers (CC) and HSE Officers. Together with the manager QC & CC in your team you will strengthen and improve the quality and configuration control as well as the related processes. Beside this task you will be responsible to define, in close cooperation with the Thales HSE department, and implement the Industry safety plan.    

With your skills and experience you will lead and coach your team to secure a safe working environment within Industry, increase the first-time right mentality. As Manager Industry Quality & HSE you will be part of the Industry Management team and will also lead specific improvement projects.

This position will be the key-driver to transform the Industry culture and mindset to become a safe serial production environment which will be competitive, reliable & predictable and agile, driven by close collaboration with internal and external partners to reach maximum customer satisfaction and goals.

In this position you will report to the Director Industry Competence Center Naval.

The main tasks and responsibilities are:

• Setup, maintain and implement the Industry safety plan
• Ensure and increase inline quality control, configuration control
• Train production line manager and production teams on related processes and methods
• Lead improvement projects within Industry.
• Lead, coach, develop and adapt the skills of your team.

Why you'd be a good match

• Completed a Bachelor or Master;
• Several years of experience as manager, preferable in a quality and/or HSE environment;
• Proven track record of continuous improvement and use of management tools;   
• Pro-active, accurate and solution oriented;
• Soft/interpersonal skills and ability to coach;
• Strong communication skills.
• Dutch and English mandatory.
