As Category Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end global strategy and sourcing of pallets, big bags, kraft bags, labels, adhesives, and glues. You will play a crucial role in driving strategic sourcing initiatives, fostering supplier relationships, and optimizing costs and value within these categories. You will oversee procurement processes on a global scale and ensure they align with our organizational objectives, striving for maximum value for the company by driving initiatives (including innovation work) within the packaging landscape.

Then this temporary position as Category Procurement Manager General Packaging at FrieslandCampina is an excellent opportunity for you!

As Category Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end global strategy and sourcing of pallets, big bags, kraft bags, labels, adhesives, and glues. You will play a crucial role in driving strategic sourcing initiatives, fostering supplier relationships, and optimizing costs and value within these categories. You will oversee procurement processes on a global scale and ensure they align with our organizational objectives, striving for maximum value for the company by driving initiatives (including innovation work) within the packaging landscape.

Your Responsibilities

• Establish strategic procurement category management and implement strategies.
• Advise business stakeholders on sourcing approach, supplier management, and internal/external insights.
• Deliver on procurement KPIs, such as hard savings, contract coverage, and supplier relationship management.
• Execute tenders and prepare for implementation.
• Manage risks and compliance, including data privacy.

Who are you? 

• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience specifically in the field of Packaging procurement and preferably in pallets, big bags and kraft bags
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certifications is a plus.

Yacht offers an attractive package of terms of employment, including:

Primary terms of employment

• A good salary, between €6000 and €7000 gross per month based on 40 hours (starting salary depending on knowledge and work experience
• 8.33% vacation pay calculated over 12 monthly salaries.

Contract type

• A project contact for the duration of the assignment; 6 months.
