What is the job about?

We’re looking for a hands-on (Sr.) Finance Controller who thrives in a small, dynamic team and enjoys taking full ownership of the financial administration at APC and its portfolio companies. You will report directly to our CFRO (based in Luzerne) and play a central role in maintaining our finance function’s accuracy and reliability.

This is not a role where you only review reports — you’ll dive into the details and work at the strategic level as well. You’ll partner with financial administrators, share tasks, explain processes clearly, and ensure everything runs smoothly from end to end.

Your work will range from managing financial operations and streamlining workflows to addressing strategic questions from management. In short: your impact will be direct and visible.

Daily duties include:

• Control, manage and monitor the general ledger administrations of various portfolio companies
• Develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts
• Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure portfolio companies have the liquidity to grow and scale rapidly
• Optimize working capital and manage debt obligations
• Deliver financial insights that directly shape strategic decisions
• Support the Group with VAT filings
• Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accounting, or Controlling
• 2–6+ years of relevant experience as a (Business/Financial) Controller or in Audit
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and financial processes
• Organized, detail-oriented, proactive mindset
• Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team
• Excellent verbal and written English and Dutch
