For Rockfield Real Estate, we are looking for a detail-oriented and ambitious Financial Controller to strengthen the finance team. In this role, you will be in charge for delivering accurate and timely reporting at the asset level. As Financial Controller, you provide clarity and transparency through financial data with turning numbers into insights that support decision making and improve portfolio performance. With your expertise in accounting, tax, and reporting, you ensure quality and efficiency in every process, while contributing directly to Rockfield’s growth across Europe.

Since 2023, Rockfield has grown rapidly in Europe, supported by its partnership with Ardian. With over 8,000 homes and further expansion ahead, your focus as Financial Controller will be to strengthen financial processes and support the European portfolio.

As a financial controller at Rockfield, you act as a trusted advisor to the European business. You combine sharp financial insights with strategic thinking, helping the management team and stakeholders to make informed decisions and drive portfolio performance.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Manage cash flow and liquidity planning & forecasting, ensuring that sufficient capital is available to meet obligations while optimizing the use of funds to support portfolio performance;
  
• Lead real estate accounting and tax processes in Europe, ensuring quality of service through the review of periodic financial statements in both Local GAAP and IFRS, treasury management, and review of tax models;
  
• Manage transaction structuring and provide support for (re)financing processes and ongoing portfolio optimization, building on existing structures while working on complex fiscal and legal considerations;
  
• Continuously improve accounting processes to reduce time and improve the efficiency and quality of financial information presented;
  
• Manage financial audits and support the analysis of annual accounts and commercial obligations;
  
• Act as main contact for internal stakeholders when resolving technical issues at financial, accounting, and tax levels;
  
• Oversee and manage relationships with external service providers, including administrators, local auditors, tax advisors and financing institutions.

What do you bring?

• Minimum of three to six years of experience in a finance controller role, it would be a pre if you have experience in real estate;
  
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field;
  
• Knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP is required;
  
• Your English is excellent, any knowledge of Dutch would be an advantage;
  
• Experience in fund and/or investment structures is a pre;
