We’re looking for a part-time, German-speaking Tech Support & Services Representative to join Universal Electronics (UEI), a global leader in smart home and wireless control technologies. In this role, you’ll support customers in the German and U.S. markets, helping them troubleshoot products and improve their smart home experience via phone, email, and online platforms. It’s a flexible, service-driven position perfect for someone who enjoys tech, problem-solving, and international communication.
We are looking for a part-time, German-speaking Tech Support & Services Representative for our client, Universal Electronics (UEI).

They are currently looking for a Tech Support & Services Representative with:

What You’ll Do
As part of UEI’s international Customer Service Center, you will be the first point of contact for consumers in Germany, the United States, and beyond. You’ll offer high-quality support through phone, email, and online platforms.
Your key responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and web platforms (e.g., Amazon reviews/Q&A).
- Troubleshoot product issues and provide clear, solution-oriented support.
- Assist with programming and upgrading remote controls, and handle product exchanges.
- Review and help maintain website content; translate or proofread German and/or English text.
- Keep internal documentation, FAQs, and knowledge bases up to date.
- Prioritize your workload independently while aligning with team KPIs.
What You Bring
- Fluent German and English, both spoken and written
- Excellent written communication and a clear, friendly phone manner
- A natural interest in technology, mobile apps, and smart home devices
- Previous experience in customer service or tech support is a plus
- Organized, flexible, and calm under pressure
- Customer-focused and result-oriented, always looking for the best solution
Nice to Have (or Willing to Learn):
- Experience with tools like Coosto, Aloha, AFAS, EZ Remote, Yellow Pages
- Product knowledge in categories such as:
- Remote controls, wall mounts, antennas, headphones, chargers, cables
- Familiarity with B2C platforms and consumer behavior on Amazon, eBay, etc.
