Imperial Tobacco is one of the world's leading tobacco companies, known for producing high-quality rolling tobacco, cigars, cigarettes, and rolling paper. The main rolling tobacco factory is based in Joure, where tradition is combined with cutting-edge technology to create well-known premium brands.
Your role as a Line Operator:
- Operating and monitoring packaging lines and transport systems
- Setting up and adjusting machines and equipment
- Performing basic maintenance and resolving minor issues
- Checking packaging materials for quality and entering them into the line
- Spotting and correcting any quality issues during production
- Manually resolving blockages and small faults
- Providing support in the tobacco loft and Karto when needed
Work schedule:
As a Line Operator, you’ll work in a rotating 3-shift system, averaging 36 hours per week. The shifts rotate in the following order: morning → night → day and then repeat.
- Morning Shift: Work for 5 days, from 05:45 to 13:30 (Total: 40 hours per week)
- Night Shift: Work for 4 days, from 21:45 to 05:45 (Total: 32 hours per week)
- Day Shift: Work for 4.5 days, from 13:45 to 21:45, with an earlier finish on Friday at 17:45 (Total: 36 hours per week)
To succeed in this job, you should be:
- Experienced as an operator
- Willing to work in a rotating 3-shift system
- Interested in a long-term job opportunity
- Able to communicate well in English or Dutch
