Heros is a company active in the production and sale of ecological secondary raw materials (produced after recycling different types of waste and construction materials), water treatment and port facilities.

Your role as a Mechanical maintenance technician:

• Keep machines running – You do preventive maintenance, mostly at night or on weekends, replacing parts like bearings and pumps, and handling small electrical tasks. 
• Fix breakdowns – You solve problems quickly, from broken belts to faulty sensors. Sometimes you need to stop production to fix things properly. 
• Prepare and build – During the day, you get ready for jobs by welding and building parts in the workshop, like railings or supports. 
• Inspect equipment – You drive around the site checking machines for wear or damage—looking at belts, rollers, motors, pumps, and more. 

Work schedule:

• Mechanical maintenance technicians work alongside another mechanic as part of a permanent team. You work a five-shift schedule. This means you work two morning shifts, two afternoon shifts and two-night shifts, followed by four days off. Working hours are 06:00–14:15, 14:00–22:15, and 22:00–06:15. 

To succeed in this job, you should be:

• Have VCA certificate or willing to get one  
• Have experience in similar position  
• Ready and willing to obtain the following certifications: VOP, Telescopic Loader Operator, Forklift Operator and Elevator (Working Platforms) Certificate
• Good communication in English and/or Dutch
