As a Cyber Security Engineer you'll play a critical role in the development of a secure cyber design for our frigates, specifically for the German F126 program. Your expertise will be essential throughout the entire project lifecycle. Your direct involvement will ensure the success of the four frigates and their associated training centers, ultimately safeguarding the delivery to our respected German customer (BAAINBw). Key accountabilities:• Contributes to the engineering process by developing the required deliverables, such as specification documents, functional descriptions, schematic drawings and test/validation plans.• Participation in discussions of experts in IT security and radiation technology.• Supervises changes in IT security regulations and, if necessary, advise involved internal/external stakeholders.• Contributes to the analysis and verification plans for IT security measures.• Participates in design checks and reviews in order to guarantee the required Cybersecurity standards.• Verifies technical performance of vendors and subcontractors.• Performs technical analysis on received offers, in close cooperation with the Purchase department.• Ensures full compliance to all applicable requirements and specifications, imposed by Class and the customer.• Offers technical support or commissioning activities to projects under contract.• Works with vendors and subcontractors to get their timely contribution to the project.• Contributes to the further development of the E&A Engineering department.Functie-eisen
In this role, your responsibilities will include:• Contribute to the engineering process by developing the required deliverables, such as specification documents, functional descriptions, schematic drawings and security concepts.• Participate in discussions of experts in IT security, OT security, emission security and physical security.• Contribute to the test and verification plans for security measures.• Participate in design checks and reviews to guarantee the required Cybersecurity standards.• Verify technical performance of vendors and subcontractors.• Perform technical analysis on received offers, in close cooperation with the Purchase department.• Ensure full compliance to all applicable requirements and specifications, imposed by Class and the customer.• Work with vendors and subcontractors to get their timely contribution to the project.• Contribute to the further development of the E&A Engineering department.We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in industrial Automation, IT Systems, Information Security Management or another relevant discipline.• Minimum of five years’ experience in the design or maintenance of complex IT or OT systems, preferably in ships, offshore or industrial installations.• Vast experience and broad knowledge of networking and IT systems, including related hardware infrastructure and system hardening.• Vast experience and broad knowledge about the different networking architectures, layers and protocols, cyber security concepts, data encryption and radiation safety.• Knowledge about relevant standards and regulations related to Cybersecurity, such as ISO 27001 and IEC 62443.• Willingness to work with German security standards.• Experience with the German Armed Forces standards A-960/1 and A-962/1 and experienced in using the SAVe tool from the company Infodas is an advantage.• Experienced to work with third-party vendors and subcontractors.• Good command of the German and English language (written & verbal).• Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.• Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required.
