As Manager Engineering, you will oversee and optimize engineering activities within a global maritime division. You will guide a group of technical managers and their engineering teams, ensuring smooth project execution, continuous improvement, and alignment with long-term strategy. In this role, you combine leadership, stakeholder engagement, and technical expertise while working in a dynamic international setting.

• Shaping and implementing the engineering vision and policies in line with the company’s overall strategy.
  
• Developing and managing departmental plans and budgets, ensuring strategic alignment.
  
• Safeguarding efficient engineering processes that meet both internal and external quality and safety standards.
  
• Providing expert guidance and strategic advice to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  
• Spotting and introducing technological innovations and industry trends.
  
• Continuously refining processes, systems, and knowledge-sharing methods within the department.
  
• Supervising project execution and resource planning, while actively contributing to cross-divisional initiatives.
  
• Strengthening relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business goals.
  
• Leading, coaching, and inspiring employees, ensuring team engagement and performance.

• A higher professional (bachelor) degree in naval architecture, mechanical engineering, or another relevant technical field;
  
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in leading teams in a project-based or manufacturing environment;
  
• Strong knowledge of shipbuilding or mechanical engineering practices, along with systems engineering expertise;
  
• Understanding of methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or IPMA;
  
• Experience with PLM/PDM-based product development and related change projects;
  
• A proactive and ambitious personality, with the ability to communicate confidently;
  
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.

• A salary of € 8000 to € 12000 per month, depending on your skills and experiences;
  
• 31 days of annual leave per year;
