Job description
In this role you are responsible for HSE policy within SanoRice Netherlands. Your main goal in this role is to create more safety awareness and a working environment in which everyone is treated equally and in which safety and health risks are limited as much as possible. In addition, you monitor compliance with legal frameworks and pay attention to creating support for HSE. You assess (new) working methods, machines and production lines for safety and advise on ARBO guidelines. The focus is on initiating constructive solutions that lead to the prevention of incidents and improvement of machine safety and procedures regarding ARBO and the Environment. You work closely with the Production, Supply Chain, HR, Maintenance, Quality and Procurement departments. You have regular contact with your HSE colleagues from the branches in Belgium, Italy and Poland.

  • Analyzing, setting up and updating Health, Safety & Environment procedures and systems;
  • Conducting risk analyses, risk inventories and evaluations, and drawing up, implementing and updating improved procedures and work instructions;
  • Drawing up incident reports and ensuring the correct processing of documents and processes in accordance with the established guidelines;
  • Prevention of accidents by organizing and carrying out periodic safety inspections;
  • Organizing audits, toolbox and information meetings;
  • Improving employee safety awareness and encouraging ownership of HSE;
  • Encouraging employees and staff to work in accordance with applicable rules and guidelines;
  • Coordinating the emergency response organization and organizing evacuation exercises;
  • Ensure that guidelines regarding waste, odour, energy, etc. are complied with;
  • Maintaining contacts with external bodies in the field of (environmental) permits and supervision;
  • Ensuring the delivery and processing of data in the field of sustainability (including energy, carbon footprint);
  • Coordinating the Ecovadis and SMETA audit and ensuring local follow-up of associated action plans.
Job requirements
Our new HSE Manager is a driven and decisive discussion partner for both the shop floor and management. An energetic driver with persuasiveness and problem-solving skills who knows how to create support. In addition, you are a team player, result-oriented, enterprising, critical, pragmatic, communicative, analytical and decisive.

  • In possession of an HVK diploma;
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience in a similar position within an industrial (food) organization;
  • Knowledge of and experience with current HSE legislation and regulations and quality standards such as: machinery guidelines, ISO45001 and hazardous substances;
  • Able to communicate at different levels;
  • Good skills with MS Office programs;
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
