As Team Leader you will strengthen the maintenance team in day shift at the 24/5 operating location in Veenendaal. You will lead approximately 8 breakdown mechanics, some of whom work in 3 shifts.
With your team you contribute to our ambition: SanoRice Netherlands wants to double the output of the factory in the coming years.

You are part of the Technical Service team with a maintenance engineer, technical buyer, planner & work preparer, facility coordinator, project engineer and 2 team leaders. Each team leader has his own area of responsibility within the machine park. Together you work on the development of the qualities of your team, a stable occupation and the continuity of the production.

Job description
You make the difference by guiding, developing and coaching your team. You lead a team of approximately 8 breakdown mechanics. The breakdown mechanics work in a 3-shift system. Together with your team, you are responsible for maintaining the availability of all packaging lines. In this position, you work in day shifts and report to the Technical Service Manager.
You are proactive, ensure that your mechanics take their role and responsibility and manage the execution of technical work. You are a team player and work closely with production, quality department and HSE.

In addition, you are responsible for:

• Facilitating, guiding and coaching your team, with an eye for the team, individual needs and organizational objectives
• Creating the work schedule
• The order and tidiness in the workshop
• Monitoring and managing set standards and KPIs for the department
• Identifying defects and making suggestions for improvement
• Setting a good example by communicating company, absenteeism and occupational health and safety policies in a positive manner

Job requirements
Our Team Leader is a decisive leader with a no-nonsense attitude and at the same time has sufficient empathy. You are down to earth, enjoy working together and are result-oriented. In addition, you recognize yourself in the following points:

• A completed MBO 4 education, for example in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics;
• At least 3 years of management experience in a similar position, preferably in the food sector;
• Experience within a production environment and the associated quality and safety regulations;
• Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written;
• Good computer skills, including broad knowledge of the MS Office package;
• Experience with Ultimo is a bonus.
