At our new location in Puttershoek, you will further develop the Customs department and gain firsthand experience in the dynamic world of our international supply chain solutions. Join our new team of Customs Declarants and ensure that processes and documentation run smoothly. Your expertise in imports and exports will be crucial. With this implementation, you have the unique opportunity to set up the customs process for the new customer with your team. How exciting is that? Your tasks include: - Managing and checking the processes and documentation related to the import, export, and transit of various goods under customs supervision;
- Involvement in managing international goods traffic;
- Collecting data, preparing and processing customs declarations, and checking the related processes based on applicable customs legislation;
- Identifying any deviations and discussing them with the people involved to comply with current customs legislation;
- Supporting physical checks and audits;
- Maintaining contact with external parties (carriers, customers, customs authorities) and internal parties (colleagues at all levels). Your profile includes: - Flexibility to work in shifts: earliest start at 05:30 and latest finish at 21:30 on weekdays. Additionally, you are available 1-2 Saturdays per month between 05:30 and 14:00;
- Completion of a middle or higher education level;
- A recognized customs training course is an advantage;
- Any work experience in customs is an advantage;
- Knowledge of MS Office;
- Affinity with logistics processes and administrative tasks;
- Proficiency in the English language is essential.
