Summary – Scope of the ProjectThe project focuses on the development and construction of offshore grid infrastructure in the Belgian part of the North Sea, designed to transmit renewable energy to the mainland. Its primary goal is to create an artificial island that will serve as an energy hub, enabling efficient and reliable connection of offshore wind generation to the onshore grid. Additionally, the island will provide a connection point for future interconnectors with other regions in the North Sea, supporting the formation of an integrated offshore power network across Europe.The main scope includes:Construction of an artificial island to host high-voltage transmission infrastructure (HVAC and HVDC).Installation of offshore 66 kV and 220 kV AC substations located on the island.Installation of six 220 kV AC cable systems connecting the island to the mainland.Transport and installation of onshore-built topside modules to the island, using a lifting vessel or barge with SPMTs, followed by interconnection and commissioning works supported by dedicated logistics operations.The offshore operations team is seeking an Engineer T&I + Logistics, responsible for all logistics-related aspects, including temporary accommodation on or near the island, transport of personnel and materials, and the overall transport and installation concept for the high-voltage topsides and modules.Functie-eisen
Service expectations: The Engineer T&I + logistics:• Reports to the Offshore Operations Manager;• Will setup a temporary accommodation and logistics concept, create the required specifications and ensures an in time contract;• Will support in managing these temporary accommodation and logistics contracts;• Will liaise with the different packages and the Marine and Island coordinator to ensure efficient more operations;• Will be the point of contact for T&I operations of the EPCI contractors;• Will join workshop, HAZIDs, review sessions related to the T&I concept of the EPCI contractorsHard skills and soft skills:• You have at least 5 years of relevant working experience• Experience in the offshore sector is a must• Experience in the energy sector is a plus• Education: Engineer• Experience in offshore logistics and transport operations• Excellent communication and teamwork skills• Working structured, independent and precise• You are a smooth, proactive communicator and a resourceful accountable team player• A quick learnerLanguages: • Fluent in English, Dutch is a plusWorking hours & workplace:• Full time• Main office in Brussels (Belgium), however site visits of the different contractors to be foreseenSollicitatieprocedure
