The Psychosocial Care Worker will provide psychosocial care Ukrainian displaced people in Ukrainian, by using Problem Management Plus (PM+) in Zwolle (Overijssel). Previous knowledge of PM+ is not required and a 5-day training on PM+ is provided before the start of the employment contract. Employment is based on successful completion of the training.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial care according to the PM+ intervention.
• Facilitate introduction sessions for potential clients
• Support potential clients in registering for the interventions

• Conduct intakes

• Schedule and provide one-on-one or group sessions with clients

• Conduct evaluation and post-evaluation sessions

• Ensure sessions and session-data are logged into the Company’s systems

• Participate in supervision sessions and follow the advice of supervisors

• Prepare referral letters together with the supervisor for clients in need of specialized care.

1. Contribute to the Company’s growth of knowledge and experience on psychosocial practices

• Provide feedback to team members on the impact of activities, and on observed relevant developments in the social and mental health situation of the client groups.

• Participate in peer-to-peer sessions with colleagues and partners and share experiences

• Contribute to expert articles on the Company’s psychosocial activities.

The Psychosocial Care Worker reports to the Psychosocial Supervisor on all matters pertaining to the participants and the protocols of PM+, and to the Company’s Project Lead for all other matters.
You will work at shelter locations in the municipality Zwolle and the wider region and any other locations designated by the Company’s clients, provided they are suitable for providing psychosocial care. It is expected that you work during evening hours and on Saturdays.

You will be provide a PM+ training before the start of the assignment. You must be available in November for 5 working days to attend the training. Exact dates are to be determined by the Company, based on feedback and availability of the candidate.

Skills and background

• Fluency in the language of the clients and good command of English

• Excellent communication, especially listening, skills, patience

• Receptiveness to feedback and supervision

• Bachelor’s degree or similar in the field of your professional background

• Previous professional experience in (psycho)social work, (medical) care work, therapy, or psychology is preferred
